Overview

Paperspace is a GPU cloud platform that was founded in 2015 and backed by Y Combinator. As Paperspace grew, it branched into both on-demand GPU rentals as well as ML platform tools under its Gradient offering. The company was acquired by Digital Ocean to supercharge Digital Ocean's own AI cloud offerings. While still operating as a standalone platform, Paperspace will incorporated more over time into the Digital Ocean ecosystem.

Pricing

Paperspace was one of the early movers in recent cloud GPU rise. Its GPUs are priced at the peak of the GPU shortage in 2023. Due its acquisition by DigitalOcean, it's prices has not moved since 2023.

Availability

Paperspace has high availability for single GPU instances but lacks availability on certain multi GPU instances.
